ABOUT
After a decade of Contemporary dance and performance training and work, Celeste went from engaging audiences seated in chairs, to empowering people to use their own bodies out of chairs, in their own life. As movement is her first love, she is passionate about sharing her deep kinesthetic knowledge and skills of efficiency and grace and integration of the whole body in movements both on and off the mat.
In 2009, needing a life-shifting rest from her dance career, she dove into Yoga and soon went to India, the birthplace of Yoga, and became a certified Hatha Yoga teacher. From that point in time, life looked different, as it does when you step on the yogic path, yet much of this path was already in her daily life, it just got more defined, by the ancient terms already documented by yogis centuries ago.
Pilates Mat and Equipment training followed shortly after. The disciplined and specific use of the body is so complimentary to moving well in life, and for recovery from injury. The strength and intelligent integration of Pilates principals and movement has grown into a practice that involves both athletic (Classical) and Clinical Pilates. She has extensive experience working within the Clinical Pilates realm which focused on Rehabilitative Pilates for optimal heath and daily movement re-patterning from professional athletes to senior populations. This practice can be easily adapted to help anyone effectively change how they move and feel in their bodies.
From this platform of three backdrops, she watches her students liberate themselves from their tension, their minds soften into quieter places, their bodies move with greater ease and strength ...it is truly something to behold. Deep connections are made and empowerment occurs, simply by turning inward to the source of change: You.
